[Only brief notes are possible this week, which is a pity because the readings give much cause for thought. I would especially to develop the theme of the OT lesson.]

On the absent presence of God, which you could call the presence of the absence of God in Ex 33, I think a link can be made with the empty tomb as well "I am or will be who I am or will be of Exodus 3, and with the experience of Elijah and "the still small voice". There a quite brilliant essay by Rowan Williams (Archbishop of Canterbury) entitled "Between the Cerebim" in his book "On Christian Theology", drawing a parallel between the empty space above the Ark of the Covenant in the Temple (where an idol might have been) and the empty space between the angels in the tomb in John's account of the Resurrection.
